During my drive to work around 6:50 a.m. this morning, I merged onto Highway 44 southbound from 134th in OKC. After getting on the highway, I ended up behind a semi going under the speed limit. Like any normal person who understands how highways work, I moved into the left lane behind another vehicle to pass. While doing so, I noticed one of your company trucks rapidly approaching from behind. There was plenty of distance between myself, the vehicle in front of me, and your driver to safely complete the pass. Apparently patience and basic driving etiquette are not part of your employee training program, because your driver quickly closed the gap and proceeded to get less than a foot from my tailgate. For the next five miles, your employee rode my bumper like their entire personality depended on it. I assume the goal was intimidation, which is an interesting strategy considering they were doing it while driving a vehicle that clearly advertises the company responsible for employing them. I ended up missing my exit because I wanted to get the company name and license plate from the truck. In the process, speeds reached over 100 mph in an 80 mph zone. I’m not proud of that, but I’m even less impressed with a professional driver who behaves like a teenager with road rage while representing their employer. If I owned a company and had an employee driving around acting like this in a branded vehicle, I would absolutely want to know before they cause an accident or turn the company name into a punchline. But hey, if reckless driving and aggressive intimidation is part of your brand identity, then I guess your driver is doing an excellent job representing it. I hope you have the day you deserve.
I wouldn’t want anyone pulling up to my site driving the way vehicle V54667 represents the company. Driving at speeds of 100+ mph to ensure no one went around, I’m glad he forced me behind to get his tag and company info, flipping people off and flinging your hands in the air at stop lights all so you can get Dutch Bros?
Whoever was driving the company truck today was driving so recklessly. going at least 20 over the speed limit and driving on the left shoulder to pass people? At least be smart enough to not do it in a company truck.
Drivers are reckless and management doesn't care. Shows you how much they cut corners.
